We began talking casually about travel, jobs, and family. What made the situation so convincing was the complete absence of financial talk.
For nearly a month, we built a good relationship without a single mention of crypto. She was always available and nice, which made the connection feel entirely natural.
Looking back, I realize that trust was being built very deliberately.

Lisa mentioned she had been investing in cryptocurrency for years, citing her uncle’s expertise in professional investment trading. She didn't pressure me; she simply shared screenshots of her impressive returns, talking about them like a successful business venture.

The turning point came when I tried to withdraw a larger amount, My request remained pending until support informed me that a fee of $15,000 was required. Against my better judgment, I paid it. Immediately after, I was told a "compliance verification charge" of $25,000 was mandatory.
This made no sense at all so I confronted Lisa, she was initially reassuring but suddenly stopped responding entirely. Customer support followed suit, that’s when I realized I had been scammed.
